The way the world becomes a better place is by each person doing their part to make it so. I believe that I can make a difference in my own world, populated by family, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, the cashier register, the postal worker, the youth who delivers my morning newspaper, my all-too familiar mechanic and many more people.
Wishing for a better world is not enough. A better world is possible. This is what I tell myself: every ripple flows out. Where you are in the ripple of change - at the beginning, in the third wave - matters just as deeply.

We join MIRA, the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition. which works to advocate for the rights and opportunities of immigrants and refugees. In partnership with its members, MIRA advances this mission through education, training, leadership development, organizing, policy analysis and advocacy.
Holyoke Community College Board of Trustees
Holyoke Community College offers associate degrees as well as a transfer program for students to earn credits for transfer to other colleges. HCC currently offers 76 associate degree options and 41 certificate programs, as well as adult basic education/GED programs, education and training for business and industry, and noncredit community service programs
WTCC Radio Board of Directors
WTCC FM 90.7 radio, at Springfield Technical Community College. is the best radio station in the state. It is host to diverse programming in terms of musical genres, races and ethnicities, talk shows and spiritual.

With El Sol Latino, sponsor of luncheons in which people are invited to talk about how to put into practice diversity in the workplace.
Nuestras Abuelas: Su Esperanza Nuestra Fortaleza
A photographic exhibit and stories about the strengths and values of eight Latina grandmothers as told through the eyes of their granddaughters. Exhibited at the University of Massachusetts Fine Arts Central Gallery, Westfield Anthenaeum, Holyoke Library and Wellesley College.
